## SYNOPSIS

mongoc_client_get_server_description (

```

Get information about the server specified by **server\_id**.

## PARAMETERS

  **client**: A *mongoc\_client\_t*.

  **server\_id**: An opaque id specifying the server.

## RETURNS

A *mongoc\_server\_description\_t* that must be freed with *mongoc\_server\_description\_destroy()*. If the server is no longer in the topology, returns NULL.
