## NAME

modemconf - setup modems

## SYNOPSIS

**modemconf** **\[ UI options \] options ...**

## DESCRIPTION

*modemconf* is a Linuxconf module for configuring modems. It will set up the proper symlink for /dev/modem as well as detect any modems on your serial ports.

As an added bonus, it will interact with wvdial to configure the /etc/wvdial.conf file so that an internet connection can be made.

## BUGS

At present, the modemconf module does not work properly with Debian. It will only set up the symlink for /dev/modem and nothing else.
