# m68k-kp-config(1)

Configure m68k sub-architecture patch for the kernel-package package.

## NAME

m68k-kp-config - Configure m68k sub-architecture patch for the kernel-package package.

## DESCRIPTION

The native m68k kernel source patches support only Amiga and Atari sub-architectures, additional patches are required to add Macintosh and VME support. The **m68k-kp-config** script creates or removes a symbolic link */usr/src/kernel-patches/m68k/2.0.36-extra.diff.gz* that points to the additional Macintosh or VME patch. This symbolic link is then used by the patch apply and remove scripts the kernel-package uses when building kernel images. This configuration effects only kernels built using the kernel-package package. If you're not using kernel-package, before you compile your kernel image you must apply the kernel patches to the i386 kernel source tree, either by hand using *patch* or by using the supplied *kp36-m68k* script.
