This database contains meta information on objects being processed by the Lire system: logfiles, reports, and possibly more things. Each object is identified by a *tag*. Properties of the object are designated by *key*'s. Currently, the database is implemented as a (bunch of) flat ascii file(s), living in the file, pointed to by the environment variable LR\_DBFILE.
