## NAME

lpkg - Newton package loader

## SYNOPSIS

**lpkg** \[**-d** *device*\] \[**-f**\] \[**-h**\] *package*

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

**lpkg** is a program to install Newton packages onto a Newton device from a Linux machine, through a serial connection.

## OPTIONS

- **-d** *device*

  Specify the device file for communicating with your Newton device. The default is /dev/newton.

- **-f**

  Set the speed to 115200 bps. The default is to use 38400 bps. To use this mode you need to install *FastSerialConnection.pkg* first on your Newton device, and select FastSerial in the Connection dialog.

- **-h**

  Show summary of options.
