# logwrites(8)

## NAME

logwrites -- interface to the logwrites library

## SYNOPSIS

**logwrites** \[**-b**\] \[*logfile*\]

## DESCRIPTION

**logwrites** starts a shell (taken from your environment *SHELL*) with some environment variables (*LD\_PRELOAD*, *INSTALL\_LOG*,  *DO\_BACKUP*).

For more information see the *logwrites.3* manpage.

## OPTIONS

- `-b`

  Write backups of any files affected.
