Configuration file syntax for LibChipCard

## NAME

**LibChipCard** - Configuration file syntax for LibChipCard

## DESCRIPTION

LibChipCard uses configuration files whose general format is described in this document.

## SYNTAX

A configuration file for LibChipCard consists of configuration *groups* and *variables*. The name of a group is given within square brackets (e.g. *\[some/name\]*). As you can see in this example the configuration groups are organized in a sort of tree. So the group "*\[parent/child\]*" is a subgroup of "*\[parent\]*". The definition of a group must be the only definition in a single line, it may not be followed by any other definition on the same line. All variable definitions that follow a group definition in subsequent lines belong to that group. A variable may have muliple values separated by commas.\

## EXAMPLE

The follwoing example demonstrates the syntax of a configuration file for LibChipCard:

- \# Remarks are introduced like in shell scripts

  - \# The config file code ignores remarks completely

  - \[parent\]

  - v1="1" # this variable has a single value

  - v2="2","3" # this variable has 2 values (list of values)

  - \[parent/child1\] # this group is a child to *parent*

  - v1="child1\_v1"

  - v2="child1\_v2"

  ## FILES

- /etc/libchipcard/chipcardc.conf
