## DESCRIPTION

Change the **DN** of a directory entry (asynchronous operation).

## PARAMS

*ld* **\[In\]**  Pointer to an **LDAP** context.

*dn* **\[In\]**  **DN** of the entry to change.

*newrdn* **\[In\]**  New **RDN** for the entry.

*newparent* **\[In\]**  New parent for the entry.

*delete* **\[In\]**  Delete old **RDN**?.

*serverctrls* **\[In\]**  Array of **LDAP** server controls.

*clientctrls* **\[In\]**  Array of **LDAP** client controls.

*message* **\[Out\]**  Message Id of the operation.

## RETURNS

**Success:** **LDAP\_SUCCESS**

**Failure:** An **LDAP** error code.

## NOTES

Call ldap\_result with the *message* Id to get the result of the operation. Cancel the operation by calling ldap\_abandon with the *message* **ID**.
