## SYNOPSIS

## DESCRIPTION

Connect to an **LDAP** server.

## PARAMS

*ld* **\[In\]**  Pointer to an **LDAP** context.

*timeout* **\[In\]**  Pointer to an l\_timeval structure specifying the *timeout* in seconds.

## RETURNS

**Success:** **LDAP\_SUCCESS**

**Failure:** An **LDAP** error code.

## NOTES

The *timeout* parameter may be **NULL** in which case a default *timeout* value will be used.
