## NAME

## SYNOPSIS

## DESCRIPTION

Authenticate with an **LDAP** server (asynchronous operation).

## PARAMS

*ld* **\[In\]**  Pointer to an **LDAP** context.

*dn* **\[In\]**  **DN** of entry to bind as.

*cred* **\[In\]**  Credentials (e.g. password string).

*method* **\[In\]**  Authentication *method*.

## RETURNS

**Success:** Message Id of the bind operation.

**Failure:** An **LDAP** error code.

## NOTES

Only **LDAP\_AUTH\_SIMPLE** is supported (just like native).

## IMPLEMENTATION

Declared in **"winldap\_private.h"**.

Implemented in **"dlls/wldap32/bind.c"**.
