laptop-netconf8

Network detection and configuration program

Usage

laptop-netconf

Overview

laptop-netconf reads the list of hosts to probe from its configuration file, /etc/laptop-netconf/opts. Multiple arp requests are sent out onto the local network. if any replies matching those in the configuration are received, a configuration script (also in /etc/laptop-netconf/) is run. If no known networks are detected, a default configuration script is run.

laptop-netconf will not run at all unless the line "ACTIVE=yes" appears within /etc/default/laptop-netconf

Note

laptop-netconf is still under development. If you have any ideas for features that wish added, please contact the author, Matt Kern <[email protected]>. This program was originally inspired by divine. divine was written by Felix von Leitner <[email protected]>.
