## DESCRIPTION

These functions provide access to underlying POSIX functions, [read(2)](/read/2.md) and [write(2)](/write/2.md), on any LAM node. See [lam\_rfposix(2)](/lam_rfposix/2.md).

The length of the caller's buffer is given in the *inbytes* argument. The actual number of bytes transferred is returned in the *outbytes* argument.
