# kmos\_gen\_telluric(7)

Generate a TELLURIC frame

## NAME

kmos\_gen\_telluric - Generate a TELLURIC frame

## SYNOPSIS

esorex **kmos\_gen\_telluric** \[OPTIONS\] FILE.sof

## DESCRIPTION

This recipe creates the TELLURIC frame needed by kmos\_sci\_red by merging the TELLURIC (produced by kmos\_std\_star), the static RESPONЅE frame and the TELLURIC\_CORR (produced with molecfit).

The way the frames are combined is controlled by the --method parameter:\
\- 0 (default) : use TELLURIC and get zpoint from TELLURIC\
If TELLURIC missing, use RESPONSE and get zpoint from RESPONSE\
    \- 1 : use TELLURIC\_CORR and get zpoint from TELLURIC\_CORR\
\- 2 : use RESPONSE and get zpoint from TELLURIC\
If TELLURIC missing, get zpoint from RESPONSE\
For missing ZPOINTs, use the average of other IFUs for the \
            same detector. \
    \- 3 : use RESPONSE x TELLURIC\_CORR and get zpoint from TELLURIC\_CORR

Input files:

    TELLURIC\_CORR Produced by molecfit N\
    RESPONSE static calibration N

## OPTIONS

- **--method** *\<int\>*

How the TELLURIC is generated (int; default: 0). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **kmos.kmos\_gen\_telluric.method** \[default = *0*\].

- **--b\_samples** *\<int\>*

The number of samples in wavelength (int; default: -1). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **kmos.kmos\_gen\_telluric.b\_samples** \[default = *-1*\].

- **--fill\_empty\_ifus** *\<bool\>*

Flag to fill empty TELLURIC IFUs (only method 0) (bool; default: False). The full name of this option for the EsoRex configuration file is **kmos.kmos\_gen\_telluric.fill\_empty\_ifus** \[default = *False*\].

Note that it is possible to create a configuration file containing these options, along with suitable default values. Please refer to the details provided by the 'esorex --help' command.
