## DESCRIPTION

The [**io\_uring\_sqe\_set\_buf\_group**(3)](/io_uring_sqe_set_buf_group/3.md) function sets the associated buf\_group of the *sqe* to *bgid*.

After the caller has requested a submission queue entry (SQE) with [**io\_uring\_get\_sqe**(3)](/io_uring_get_sqe/3.md)**,** they can associate a buf\_group with the SQE used for multishot operations.
