# io\_uring\_cq\_eventfd\_enabled(3)

check if eventfd notifications are enabled

## NAME

io\_uring\_cq\_eventfd\_enabled - check if eventfd notifications are enabled

## SYNOPSIS

```
#include <liburing.h>
```

**bool io\_uring\_cq\_eventfd\_enabled(const struct io\_uring \****ring***);**

## DESCRIPTION

The [**io\_uring\_cq\_eventfd\_enabled**(3)](/io_uring_cq_eventfd_enabled/3.md) function returns whether eventfd notifications are currently enabled for the io\_uring instance specified by *ring*.

An eventfd can be registered with a ring using [**io\_uring\_register\_eventfd**(3)](/io_uring_register_eventfd/3.md) or [**io\_uring\_register\_eventfd\_async**(3)](/io_uring_register_eventfd_async/3.md). Once registered, notifications can be temporarily disabled using [**io\_uring\_cq\_eventfd\_toggle**(3)](/io_uring_cq_eventfd_toggle/3.md).

## RETURN VALUE

Returns **true** if eventfd notifications are enabled, or **false** if disabled.
