# incatalogfeed(3)

test if cell belongs to the catalog file

## NAME

incatalogfeed - test if cell belongs to the catalog file

## SYNOPSYS

```
#include "mut.h"
int incatalogfeed(figname)
char ∗figname;
```

## PARAMETER

- *figname*

  Name of the cell to be checked

## DESCRIPTION

**incatalogfeed** checks a cell represented by its *figname* beeing present in the catalog file with the *'F'* attribut. This means that the cell is a feed through, and does not have a logical equivalent representation while beeing physicaly used.\
 This information is mostly needed by routers, since *"logical feed through"* has no design meaning.\
 The catalog is the sum of all the catalogs of the cells libraries specified in the [**MBK\_CATA\_LIB**(1)](/MBK_CATA_LIB/1.md) and [**MBK\_WORK\_LIB**(1)](/MBK_WORK_LIB/1.md). The catalogs of the [**MBK\_CATA\_LIB**(1)](/MBK_CATA_LIB/1.md) are the files called **CATAL**, and the [**MBK\_WORK\_LIB**(1)](/MBK_WORK_LIB/1.md) is by default **CATAL** but can be changed to [**MBK\_CATAL\_NAME**(1)](/MBK_CATAL_NAME/1.md).

## RETURN VALUE

**incatalogfeed** returns **0** if the cell does not belong to the catalog with the **'F'** attribut, a value different from **0** if it does.

## EXAMPLE

```
#include "mut.h"
char ∗tell_if_incatalogfeed(name)
char ∗name;
{
	return incatalogfeed(name) ? "Jawohl, mein Herr" : "Nein, danke";
}
```
