## NAME

**hapm** - local TCP port monitor used with Heartbeat (HA)

## DESCRIPTION

**HAPM (High Availability Port Monitor) is a local port status check. It is a simple, light and fast daemon to check TCP ports. If one or more monitored ports (per IP) downs** **then the Heartbeat will be killed by HAPM. Heartbeat is a program used to provide high availability.**

**The HAPM must be installed on the primary Heartbeat machine only.**

**The HAPM logs are sent to syslogd (see /var/log/syslog).**

**-v Show program version.**
