## NAME

gthumb - an image viewer and browser for GNOME

## SYNTAX

gthumb \[*\<directory\>*\]\
 gthumb \[*\<filename\>*\]

## DESCRIPTION

With gthumb you can browse directories with pictures or photographs in it, as well as viewing single files. It shows image stamps as well.

## OPTIONS

- **\<***directory***\>**

  **Scans specified \<***directory***\> for pictures.**

- **\<***filename***\>**

  **Displays picture specified with name \<***filename***\>.**

- **--help**

  Output help information and exit.

- **--version**

  Output version information and exit.

- Usual other GNOME options apply as well.

  ## EXAMPLES

To run this program the standard way type:

gthumb /home/yourname/pix

gthumb /home/yourname/\*.jpg
