gss\_inquire\_mech\_for\_saslname - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**OM\_uint32 gss\_inquire\_mech\_for\_saslname(OM\_uint32 \*** *minor\_status***, const gss\_buffer\_t** *sasl\_mech\_name***, gss\_OID \*** *mech\_type***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- OM\_uint32 \* minor\_status

  (Integer, modify) Mechanism specific status code.

- const gss\_buffer\_t sasl\_mech\_name

  (buffer, character-string, read) Buffer with SASL\
     mechanism name.

- gss\_OID \* mech\_type

  (OID, modify, optional) Actual mechanism used.  The OID\
     returned via this parameter will be a pointer to static storage\
     that should be treated as read-only; In particular the\
     application should not attempt to free it.  Specify NULL if not\
     required.

## DESCRIPTION

Output GSS-API mechanism OID of mechanism associated with given *sasl\_mech\_name*.

## RETURNS

\`GSS\_S\_COMPLETE\`: Successful completion.

\`GSS\_S\_BAD\_MECH\`: There is no GSS-API mechanism known as *sasl\_mech\_name*.
