## NAME

grub-floppy - program to do build a generic grub boot disc

## SYNOPSIS

**grub-floppy** \[*options*\] *\<block\_device\>*...

## DESCRIPTION

**grub-floppy** is a program to build a generic grub boot disc. The boot disc when booted provides the grub command line (also referred to as the grub shell).

For more information on using the grub command line, see **info grub**

## OPTIONS

This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (\`-'). A summary of options is included below.

- **-h, --help**

  Show summary of options.

## NOTE

It is possible to create a grub boot disc using grub-install, although the boot disc created will be specific to the computer it is created on. Using grub-floppy will create a more generic floppy only limited by architecture.

The full documentation for **grub** is maintained as a Texinfo manual. If the **info** and **grub** programs are properly installed at your site, the command
