gnutls\_x509\_othername\_to\_virtual - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/x509-ext.h\>**

**int gnutls\_x509\_othername\_to\_virtual(const char \*** *oid***, const gnutls\_datum\_t \*** *othername***, unsigned int \*** *virt\_type***, gnutls\_datum\_t \*** *virt***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- const char \* oid

  The othername object identifier

- const gnutls\_datum\_t \* othername

  The othername data

- unsigned int \* virt\_type

  GNUTLS\_SAN\_OTHERNAME\_XXX

- gnutls\_datum\_t \* virt

  allocated printable data

## DESCRIPTION

This function will parse and convert the othername data to a virtual type supported by gnutls.

## RETURNS

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise a negative error value.
