## NAME

gnutls\_x509\_aki\_get\_cert\_issuer - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/x509-ext.h\>**

**int gnutls\_x509\_aki\_get\_cert\_issuer(gnutls\_x509\_aki\_t** *aki***, unsigned int** *seq***, unsigned int \*** *san\_type***, gnutls\_datum\_t \*** *san***, gnutls\_datum\_t \*** *othername\_oid***, gnutls\_datum\_t \*** *serial***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- gnutls\_x509\_aki\_t aki

  The authority key ID

- unsigned int seq

  The index of the name to get

- unsigned int \* san\_type

  Will hold the type of the name (of **gnutls\_subject\_alt\_names\_t**)

- gnutls\_datum\_t \* san

  The alternative name data

- gnutls\_datum\_t \* othername\_oid

  The object identifier if  *san\_type* is **GNUTLS\_SAN\_OTHERNAME**

- gnutls\_datum\_t \* serial

  The authorityCertSerialNumber number

## DESCRIPTION

This function will return a specific authorityCertIssuer name as stored in the  *aki* type, as well as the authorityCertSerialNumber. All the returned values should be treated as constant, and may be set to **NULL** when are not required.

## RETURNS

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, **GNUTLS\_E\_REQUESTED\_DATA\_NOT\_AVAILABLE** if the index is out of bounds, otherwise a negative error value.
