## NAME

gnutls\_transport\_set\_vec\_push\_function - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/gnutls.h\>**

**void gnutls\_transport\_set\_vec\_push\_function(gnutls\_session\_t** *session***, gnutls\_vec\_push\_func** *vec\_func***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- gnutls\_session\_t session

  is a **gnutls\_session\_t** type.

- gnutls\_vec\_push\_func vec\_func

  a callback function similar to **writev()**

## DESCRIPTION

Using this function you can override the default [writev(2)](/writev/2.md) function for gnutls to send data. Setting this callback  instead of **gnutls\_transport\_set\_push\_function()** is recommended since it introduces less overhead in the TLS handshake process.

 *vec\_func* is of the form, ssize\_t (\*gnutls\_vec\_push\_func) (gnutls\_transport\_ptr\_t, const giovec\_t \* iov, int iovcnt);
