gnutls\_session\_get\_master\_secret - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/gnutls.h\>**

**void gnutls\_session\_get\_master\_secret(gnutls\_session\_t** *session***, gnutls\_datum\_t \*** *secret***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- gnutls\_session\_t session

  is a **gnutls\_session\_t** type.

- gnutls\_datum\_t \* secret

  the session's master secret

## DESCRIPTION

This function returns pointers to the master secret used in the TLS session. The pointers are not to be modified or deallocated.

This function is only applicable under TLS 1.2 or earlier versions.
