gnutls\_pkcs12\_generate\_mac3 - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/pkcs12.h\>**

**int gnutls\_pkcs12\_generate\_mac3(gnutls\_pkcs12\_t** *pkcs12***, gnutls\_mac\_algorithm\_t** *mac***, const char \*** *pass***, unsigned int** *flags***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- gnutls\_pkcs12\_t pkcs12

  A pkcs12 type

- gnutls\_mac\_algorithm\_t mac

  the MAC algorithm to use

- const char \* pass

  The password for the MAC

- unsigned int flags

  an ORed sequence of gnutls\_pkcs12\_flags\_t

## DESCRIPTION

This function will generate a MAC for the PKCS12 structure.

If  *flags* contains **GNUTLS\_PKCS12\_USE\_PBMAC1**, it uses PBMAC1 key derivation function instead of the PKCS**12** one.

## RETURNS

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise a negative error value.
