## NAME

gnutls\_hex2bin - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/gnutls.h\>**

**int gnutls\_hex2bin(const char \*** *hex\_data***, size\_t** *hex\_size***, void \*** *bin\_data***, size\_t \*** *bin\_size***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- const char \* hex\_data

  string with data in hex format

- size\_t hex\_size

  size of hex data

- void \* bin\_data

  output array with binary data

- size\_t \* bin\_size

  when calling should hold maximum size of  *bin\_data* , on return will hold actual length of  *bin\_data* .

## DESCRIPTION

Convert a buffer with hex data to binary data. This function unlike **gnutls\_hex\_decode()** can parse hex data with separators between numbers. That is, it ignores any non-hex characters.

## RETURNS

**GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** on success, otherwise a negative error code.
