## NAME

gnutls\_dtls\_get\_data\_mtu - API function

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gnutls/dtls.h\>**

**unsigned int gnutls\_dtls\_get\_data\_mtu(gnutls\_session\_t** *session***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- gnutls\_session\_t session

  is a **gnutls\_session\_t** type.

## DESCRIPTION

This function will return the actual maximum transfer unit for application data. I.e. DTLS headers are subtracted from the actual MTU which is set using **gnutls\_dtls\_set\_mtu()**.

## RETURNS

the maximum allowed transfer unit.
