## SYNOPSIS

**int gnutls\_cipher\_encrypt(gnutls\_cipher\_hd\_t** *handle***, void \*** *ptext***, size\_t** *ptext\_len***);**

## ARGUMENTS

- gnutls\_cipher\_hd\_t handle

  is a **gnutls\_cipher\_hd\_t** type

- void \* ptext

  the data to encrypt

- size\_t ptext\_len

  the length of data to encrypt

## DESCRIPTION

This function will encrypt the given data using the algorithm specified by the context.

## RETURNS

Zero or a negative error code on error.
