# gimgstamp(1)

A timstamping utility for webcam images

## NAME

imgstamp, gimgstamp - A timstamping utility for webcam images

## SYNOPSIS

**imgstamp** \[**--rcfile *file***\] \[**--version**\] \[**--help**\] \[**--ftp**\]

**gimgstamp** \[**--rcfile *file***\] \[**--version**\] \[**--help**\]

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the **imgstamp** and **gimgstamp** commands. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

**imgstamp** is a program that "watermarks" a JPEG image with a line of text. It can stamp the text onto the image with a variety of styles, fonts, and orientations. It can also upload the stamped image to an FTP server, which is useful for webcam scripts.

**gimgstamp** allows the user to create a configuration file for **imgstamp** and preview the stamped image.

## OPTIONS

- **-f, --ftp**

Try to upload using FTP from information in ~/.imgstamprc.

- **-r *file*, --rcfile**

  Use *file* instead of *~/.stamprc*.

- **-v, --version**

  Show version information.

- **-h, --help**

  Show summary of options.

## FILES

- *~/.imgstamprc*

  \- default configuration file

## BUGS

**imgstamp** depends on having a configuration file, or it will segfault.

Previewing in **gimgstamp** may not actually work.
