# getsoundset(1x)

read current SoundSet configuration

## NAME

**getsoundset** - read current SoundSet configuration

## SYNOPSIS

**getsoundset** \[ \<soundset file\> \]

## DESCRIPTION

**getsoundset** is part of the WSoundTools for Window Maker that dumps the current event related sound configuration to either a file or standard output.

The application outputs a list in PropList format of the following options: *AppStart*, *AppExit*, *Maximize*, *UnMaximize*, *Iconify*, *DeIconify*, *Hide*, *UnHide*, *Shade*, *UnShade*, *Dock*, *UnDock*, *Kaboom*, *Startup*, *Shutdown*.

If you store the outputted info in a file, you can use that file as a SoundSet which can be loaded again by the **setsounds** utility or by an external application like **WSoundPrefs.**

## ENVIRONMENT

- GNUSTEP\_USER\_ROOT

specifies the initial path for the Defaults directory. "Defaults/" is appended to this variable to determine the actual location of the WMSound Domain file. If the varialbe is not set, it defaults to "~/GNUstep"

## FILES

- GNUSTEP\_USER\_ROOT/Defaults/WMSound
