Returns the unique global work-item ID value for dimension identified by dimindx.

get\_global\_id - Returns the unique global work-item ID value for dimension identified by dimindx.

**size\_t get\_global\_id(uint** *dimindx***);**

## DESCRIPTION

The global work-item ID specifies the work-item ID based on the number of global work-items specified to execute the kernel. Valid values of *dimindx* are 0 to [**get\_work\_dim**(3clc)](/get_work_dim/3clc.md)() - 1. For other values of *dimindx*, **get\_global\_id**() returns 0.

For [**clEnqueueTask**(3clc)](/clEnqueueTask/3clc.md), this returns 0.
