## NAME

gensio\_err - Error reporting values for gensio functions

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<gensio/gensio\_err.h\>**\
 **const char \*gensio\_err\_to\_str(int err)**

## DESCRIPTION

The return values for gensio functions that return errors and the reported values in callbacks from the gensio library are all gensio errors.  Possible values are:

-

  GE\_NOERR                 No error\
   GE\_NOMEM                 Out of memory\
   GE\_NOTSUP                Operation not supported\
   GE\_INVAL                 Invalid data to parameter\
   GE\_NOTFOUND              Value or file not found\
   GE\_EXISTS                Value already exists\
   GE\_OUTOFRANGE            Value out of range\
   GE\_INCONSISTENT          Parameters inconsistent in call\
   GE\_NODATA                No data was available for the function\
   GE\_OSERR                 OS error, see logs\
   GE\_INUSE                 Object was already in use\
   GE\_INPROGRESS            Operation is in progress\
   GE\_NOTREADY              Object was not ready for operation\
   GE\_TOOBIG                Value was too large for data\
   GE\_TIMEDOUT              Operation timed out\
   GE\_RETRY                 Retry operation later\
   GE\_KEYNOTFOUND           Unable to find the given key\
   GE\_CERTREVOKED           Key was revoked\
   GE\_CERTEXPIRED           Key was expired\
   GE\_KEYINVALID            Key is not valid\
   GE\_NOCERT                Certificate not provided\
   GE\_CERTINVALID           Certificate is not valid\
   GE\_PROTOERR              Protocol error\
   GE\_COMMERR               Communication error\
   GE\_IOERR                 Internal I/O error\
   GE\_REMCLOSE              Remote end closed connection\
   GE\_HOSTDOWN              Host could not be reached\
   GE\_CONNREFUSE            Connection refused\
   GE\_DATAMISSING           Data was missing\
   GE\_CERTNOTFOUND          Unable to find given certificate\
   GE\_AUTHREJECT            Authentication tokens rejected\
   GE\_ADDRINUSE             Address already in use\
   GE\_INTERRUPTED           Operation was interrupted by a signal\
   GE\_SHUTDOWN              Operation on shutdown file descriptor\
   GE\_LOCALCLOSED           Local side closed connection\
   GE\_PERM                  Permission denied\
   GE\_APPERR                Application error\
   GE\_UNKNOWN\_NAME\_ERROR    Unknown name server lookup failure\
   GE\_NAME\_ERROR            Unable to find a valid name on the name server\
   GE\_NAME\_SERVER\_FAILURE   Serious name server failure\
   GE\_NAME\_INVALID          Invalid name server information\
   GE\_NAME\_NET\_NOT\_UP       Network address for the given name is not available

**gensio\_err\_to\_str** converts an integer error value to the given string.
