## NAME

generic\_file\_aio\_write - write data to a file

## SYNOPSIS

**ssize\_t generic\_file\_aio\_write(struct kiocb \*** *iocb***, const struct iovec \*** *iov***, unsigned long** *nr\_segs***, loff\_t** *pos***);**

## ARGUMENTS

*iocb*

IO state structure

*iov*

vector with data to write

*nr\_segs*

number of segments in the vector

*pos*

position in file where to write

## DESCRIPTION

This is a wrapper around **\_\_generic\_file\_aio\_write** to be used by most filesystems. It takes care of syncing the file in case of O\_SYNC file and acquires i\_mutex as needed.
