Gearmand Documentation, https://gearman.org/gearmand/

## NAME

gearman\_task\_attr\_init\_background - Gearmand Documentation, https://gearman.org/gearmand/

## SYNOPSIS

\#include \<libgearman/gearman.h\>

- **type gearman\_work\_t**

  - **type gearman\_job\_priority\_t**

  - ***gearman\_work\_t* gearman\_work(*gearman\_job\_priority\_t* priority)**

  - ***gearman\_work\_t* gearman\_work\_epoch(*time\_t* epoch, *gearman\_job\_priority\_t* priority)**

  - ***gearman\_work\_t* gearman\_work\_background(*gearman\_job\_priority\_t* priority)**

  Compile and link with -lgearman

## DESCRIPTION

*gearman\_work\_t* describe work for *gearman\_execute()*.

*gearman\_work()* creates a *gearman\_work\_t* with a priority.

Job assignment priority is global across registered functions. A high priority job for any function is assigned before normal or low priority jobs for other functions.

*gearman\_work\_epoch()* creates a *gearman\_work\_t* which tells *gearman\_execute()* to execute the workload at the time specified by epoch.

*gearman\_work\_background()* creates a *gearman\_work\_t* which tells *gearman\_execute()* to execute the workload as a background job.
