## GASPELL

gaspell - GNOME front end to the aspell spell checking library

## SYNOPSIS

**gaspell** *\[options\]*

## DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the **gaspell** spell checker. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

**gaspell** is a graphical (gtk) front end to the aspell spell checking library.

## OPTIONS

In addition to the regular gtk+ and gnome flags gaspell supports the following:

- **-d, --master=\<file\>**

  main word list file name

- **-p, --personal=\<file\>**

  personal word list file name

- **--repl=\<file\>**

  replacement list file name

- **--lang=\<lang\>**

  default language to use

- **--dict-dir=\<dir\>**

  location of the main word list

- **--data-dir=\<dir\>**

  location of the language data files

- **--ignore-repl**

  ignore commands to store replacement pairs

- **--dont-ignore-repl**

  don't ignore commands to store replacement pairs

- **--conf=\<file\>**

  main configuration file

- **--conf-dir=\<dir\>**

  location of main configuration file

- **--dict-host=\<host.name.of.dict.server\>**

  host to connect to to lookup definitions using dict protocol

- **--dict-port=\<port\>**

  port on which to connect to using dict protocol

- **--infile=\<file\>**

  file to check
