fvwm-update-menu1

Updates fvwm's debian menus

Usage

fvwm-update-menu [{popup | touch-stamp}]

Overview

fvwm-update-menu can be used to update Debian menus in menu database was changed on the fly, without fvwm restart. In order to use it you should put line

Mouse 1 R A PipeRead "fvwm-update-menu popup"

instead of

Mouse 1 R A Menu /Debian

in your system.fvwm2rc or ~/.fvwm/fvwm2rc. This will slow down fvwm when opening /Debian menu if it needs to be updated, a delay is quite small, but it is a delay.

Files

/etc/X11/fvwm/system.fvwm2rc
/etc/X11/fvwm/menudefs.hook
