## DESCRIPTION

**fuse-ranges** reads a tab-delimited five-column table (*score*, *index*, *strand*, *ranges*) from standard input, consolidates adjacent or overlapping ranges, and writes to standard output a tab-delimited four-column table (*strand*, *left*, *right*, *length*) with all ranges in forward order.
