## NAME

fnping - reports the status of a CORBA object

## SYNOPSIS

**fnping** \[ *-f* file \| *UOL* \]

## DESCRIPTION

**fnping** takes an object UOL (Universal Object Locator) either from standard input, from a file (using the *-f* option), or even as an argument to the program, and is used (not surprisingly) to \`ping' objects to see if they are alive.
