## NAME

fnmkior - constructs an object reference

## SYNOPSIS

**fnmkior** *hostname* *port* *type\_id* *object\_key*

## DESCRIPTION

**fnmkior** takes the data that identifies an object and generates an IOR from it. For example:

$ fnmkior sundial.dstc.edu.au 9999 \\\
 \> IDL:dstc.edu.au/HelloWorld/HelloWorldIf:1.0 fred
