## SYNOPSIS

 **-lfirestring**

**int firestring\_estr\_toupper(struct firestring\_estr\_t \****dest***, struct firestring\_estr\_t \****source***, const long** *start***)**

## DESCRIPTION

firestring\_estr\_toupper() copies the data in *source* starting at position *start* to *dest*, replacing any lowercase characters with uppercase ones by using [*toupper*(3)](/toupper/3.md). *source* and *dest* can be the same string.

## RETURN VALUE

0 if the string was copied successfully; 1 if there was insufficient space in *destination* for the copy to occur.
