## DESCRIPTION

firestring\_estr\_trim removes whitespace from the beginning and end of *string*. It uses [*firestring\_estr\_ip\_chug*(3)](/firestring_estr_ip_chug/3.md) instead of [*firestring\_estr\_chug*(3)](/firestring_estr_chug/3.md), so the resulting estring can still be freed normally.
