## SYNOPSIS

**struct in\_addr \*firedns\_resolveip4(const char \* const** *name***)**\
 **struct in\_addr \*firedns\_resolveip4\_r(const char \* const** *name***)**

## DESCRIPTION

firedns\_resolveip4() attempts to resolve the hostname *name* to an IPv4 address.

## RETURN VALUE

Returns a pointer to an internal static *struct in\_addr* that contains the IP address of *name* in binary format, or *NULL* on error.
