NAME
fclient - interact with a Freenet node
SYNOPSIS
fclient get URI [file]
fclient put URI file
fclient putsite URI file...
fclient genkeys
fclient computechk [file]
DESCRIPTION
fclient is a command line front end to the Freenet reference libraries. A number of different commands are available:
get
requests URI from Freenet. Data is written to file, if specified, and to stdout otherwise.
put
inserts data into Freenet under URI. The data is to insert is read from file if specified, or stdin otherwise. An URI of CHK@ will automatically compute the right content hash key to insert under. Other key types (KSK, SSK) are handled by inserting the data under the correct CHK first, and then putting a redirect under the choosen key.
putsite
inserts a number of files into Freenet, and puts a map to them under URI. Each file can be later retrieved via URI//file
genkeys
generates a key pair and prints it to stderr.
computechk
reads file if specified or stdin otherwise, and generates a content hash key for it.

EXAMPLES
fclient get [email protected]

fclient put KSK@photos/wildlife/boar01.jpg boar01.jpg
inserts the file boar01.jpg into Freenet under the key KSK@photos/wildlife/boar01.jpg
fclient putsite SSK@fjMa1OjeC8ghxtnuyRSMHXzom6o/foo index.html logo.jpg links.html
inserts the three files into Freenet, so that they are accessible as SSK@Ex7oc7ZiVTF9G~N-yLG2a73eeOgPAgM/foo//index.html SSK@Ex7oc7ZiVTF9G~N-yLG2a73eeOgPAgM/foo//logo.jpg SSK@Ex7oc7ZiVTF9G~N-yLG2a73eeOgPAgM/foo//links.html respectively. Note that inserting is done with the private key (fjM...m6o), while requesting relies on the public key (Ex7...AgM).
