## NAME

fastaq\_to\_random\_subset

## DESCRIPTION

 fastaq\_to\_random\_subset \[options\] \<fasta/q in\> \<outfile\> \<probablilty of keeping read (pair) in \[0,100\]\>

Takes a random subset of reads from a fasta/q file and optionally the corresponding read from a mates file. Ouptut is interleaved if mates file given

### positional arguments:

- infile

  Name of input fasta/q file

- outfile

  Name of fasta/q output file

- INT

  Probability of keeping any given read (pair) in \[0,100\]

### optional arguments:

- **-h**, **--help**

  show this help message and exit

- **--mate\_file** MATE\_FILE

  Name of fasta/q mates file
