script to extend the CHICKEN compiler with compiled library units

## NAME

extend-chicken - script to extend the *CHICKEN* compiler with compiled library units

## SYNOPSIS

**extend-chicken** \[ *unitname* \| *option ...* \]

## DESCRIPTION

*extend-chicken* is a Scheme script that rebuilds the  *CHICKEN* compiler to contain extra functionality provided by one or more compiled library units. *unitname* should be the name of the unit to be included. The compiled object module should be in the current directory and named *unitname.o*

## OPTIONS

- **-output-file** *filename*

  Generate a new compiler with the name *filename* If this option is not supplied, then the generated executable will be named  *chicken-2*
