# execute\_dmachinemon(1)

example script to start up dmachinemon daemon

## NAME

execute\_dmachinemon - example script to start up dmachinemon daemon

## SYNOPSIS

**execute\_dmachinemon \[***temporary port number***\] \[***server port number***\] \[***master node ip***\]**

## DESCRIPTION

Starts up dmachinemon daemon on each cluster node using **dsh**

## OPTIONS

- **temporary port number**

The port number used for communication internal to the dmachinemon system.

- **server port number**

The port number that the daemon listens. Client programs will be able to obtain information from that port number on the master node.

- **master node IP**

The IP address of the master node.

## NOTES

Requires a properly configured **dsh** program to start up the daemon on every node.

This program uses **dmachinemon-servent** and uses up a lot of resource. On some systems with large number of nodes that exceed about 40, it might not be feasible. Try configuring a system to boot **dmachinemon-servent** in another way instead, like trying to execute it hierarchically.

This example script is given as an example, and is most likely that this script will not work on large installations.
