## SYNOPSIS

**int dpns\_rmgrpmap (gid\_t** *gid***,** **char \****groupname***)**

## DESCRIPTION

**dpns\_rmgrpmap** suppresses the group entry corresponding to a given virtual gid or group name. If both are specified, they must point at the same entry.

- *gid*

  specifies the Virtual Group Id.

- *groupname*

  specifies the group name.

This function requires ADMIN privilege.

## RETURN VALUE

This routine returns 0 if the operation was successful or -1 if the operation failed. In the latter case, **serrno** is set appropriately.

## ERRORS

- **EACCES**

  The caller does not have ADMIN privilege.

- **EINVAL**

  This group does not exist in the internal mapping table or the length of *groupname* exceeds 255 or *gid* and *groupname* do not point at the same entry.

- **SENOSHOST**

  Host unknown.

- **SENOSSERV**

  Service unknown.

- **SECOMERR**

  Communication error.

- **ENSNACT**

  Name server is not running or is being shutdown.
