Traverse and process the parse tree of Ada units

NAME

display_source - Traverse and process the parse tree of Ada units

SYNOPSIS

display_source [options] filename

DESCRIPTION

display_source is an ASIS application we used for Traverse_Element and ASIS testing. It's an application that can be used too as a basis for applications that imply a modification of the sources. It's based on the generic procedure Traverse_Element and the various funtionalities provided by display_source correspond to different actions on each element of the source traversed.

OPTIONS

-n

Output the kind of each element, its subkinds if applicable, and its image, for literals.

-s

Output an Ada source semanticaly equivalent to the initial source, after traversing the entire parse tree.

-i

Same as -s, but the algorithm is much more simple, and designed as a basis for tools that modify the source in order to produce, for example, HTML.

AUTHOR

ASIS-for-GNAT was originally developed by the ASIS-for-GNAT team at the Software Engineering Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (LGL-EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland, in cooperation with the Scientific Research Computer Center of Moscow State University (SRCC MSU), Russia, with funding partially provided by grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences. ASIS-for-GNAT is now maintained by AdaCore (http://www.adacore.com).

This manual page was written by Ludovic Brenta <[email protected]> for the Debian project, from the display_source sources.
