## NAME

debconf2pot - extract gettext strings from master files

## SYNOPSIS

**debconf2pot** \[**-v**\] \[**-h**\] \[**--podir=*****DIR***\] \[*master* \[*master* ...\]\]

## DESCRIPTION

This program extracts strings from master templates files into a POT file. It may be an alternative to **debconf-updatepo** when combined with **msgmerge**.  Without argument, default master file is *templates*.

## OPTIONS

- **-h**, **--help**

  Display a usage summary and exit.

- **-v**, **--verbose**

  Process in verbose mode.

- **--podir=*****DIR***

  Set output directory for PO files, default is *po*.
