# darxcmd(1)

Darxite client that sends a raw command to the daemon

## NAME

darxcmd - Darxite client that sends a raw command to the daemon

## SYNOPSIS

**darxcmd \[OPTIONS\] command**

## DESCRIPTION

**darxcmd** simply sends the specified command to the daemon, prints the response, and returns. If "command" is blank or -, it will read the command (or a series of commands) from standard input. Thus it can be used for scripting the daemon and the like.

## OPTIONS

- \-v, --version

Shows the program's version and exits.

- \-h, --help

Shows some usage information and exits.

- \-c\<host\>:\<port\>, --connect \<host\>:\<port\>

Connects to the Darxite daemon running on \<host\>, listening on \<port\>. If run with this option, the first thing the program will do is ask for a password.

- \-e, --echo

Echoes each command as it is sent.

- \-f\<file\>, --file \<file\>

Reads a list of commands from \<file\>, sending them in order.

- \-q, --quiet

  Makes the program completely silent.

- \-r, --noresponse

Instead of waiting for a response from the daemon after sending a command, this option causes the program to return immediately.

- \-t\<secs\>, --timeout \<secs\>

When waiting for the daemon to respond, timeout after \<secs\>. This option is only really useful when running the daemon remotely with a very slow connection.
